NE Ohio offers one the country’s biggest variety of ethnic foods.  Cleveland is known as the nation’s melting pot.  Where people from all nationalities made Cleveland and NE Ohio their home.  What’s so exciting is that the kind folks held on to their homeland recipes. Many opened eateries to make a living and to share their awesome heritage.

We’ve included some links to get the wheels turning on your food adventure. One creative search idea is to Google your nationality with the words, Lake County, Cleveland and dining.

At the Empress Taytu you’ll eat the edible table cloth with your hands sitting on wooden benches. At the Thai Orchid your taste buds will dance with delight with the shrimp and chicken Pad Thai. If you desire the tried and true chains, they are lined up about 5 minutes from here on rt. 91 or as many call it, S.O.M. Center Road.  Ask the waiter what S.O.M. stands for… and you’ll begin experiencing what’s local.

There is so many choices:  The Melt, El Patron, and for the best dry rub ribs ever try Austin’s Smokin’ Steak House on Wilson Mills.

For Floridian want-a-bees, there’s Bahama Breeze in nearby Beachwood. 

We have have family diners that do a pretty good job for home cook’n.  Downtown Willoughby has a variety as well.  There’s even a brewery.  Don’t forget to cross the railroad tracks for some other outdoor relaxed cafes. Visit the crepe shop and for great great coffee visit Arabica.
